Yangsum village is a small community where several ethnic groups have lived for decades and is a 10-minute drive from Rinchenpong in Sikkim. Yangsum hamlet is surrounded by nature, and people come from all over India and the world to enjoy it, such as birding, hiking, angling, and now, slowly but steadily, butterfly viewing has begun in the village by young butterfly enthusiasts. Yangsum is also known for its cultural activities, as well as its local food and homemade fruit wines.
According to the Limboo community, ‘Yang means money and sum means three,’ so the village’s name is derived from that. Yangsum is known for its spectacular views of Mt Khanchenzonga and other mountain ranges, which provide visitors with a relaxing experience.
Rinchenpong monastery, Resum trek, Poison Lake, Singshore bridge, Rami Dham hike, chayatal, village walk, local culinary class, and other major tourist attractions are all located near the settlement.
