Heritage Bungalow No. 15 at Takdah is of the British Heritage Bungalow used as an operating office of the Army during the British rule. Heritage Bungalow No. 15 was built between the year 1905 and 1915 and these bungalows are also popularly known the local name ‘Kothi‘.This Heritage bunglow is now a luxurious resort with all modern amenities wall mounted LEDs, spring beds, fully furnished rooms, western washrooms with tub and hot water. Takdah is nearly 2 and half hours’ drive from NJP and Bagdogra airport and one hour drive from Darjeeling town.
Being a British cantonment it is famous for its landscape, heritage bunglows, sunrise views, Jungle trails. Tourist can opt for local sightseeing like visiting Tea gardens, Tinchulay view point, Gubba Darra view point (to few Kanchanjunga), Orange orchard garden and 100 years old bridge.
