Tarapith , located on the banks of the Dwarka River that flows in Birbhum,Tarapith Temple is dedicated toMa Tara (Goddess Tara). Tarapith Mandir is one of the Shakti Piths. Sadhak Bamakhepa, a saint dedicated his life to the worship of Ma Tara.The regal temple, one of the 51 Shakti Peeths in India, is one of the most important places where tantric rituals are followed even today.
